Please be aware that should you choose to only wish to see either Dr Smith or Dr Saint then securing an appointment will be more challenging than with our other GPs.
Whilst we endeavour to maximise the number of appointments available with them, both Dr Smith and Dr Saint are part-time GPs and also have areas of special interest which reduce the number of routine appointments they have available. In addition, they cover our emergency clinic once per week.
We would ask that to help both yourself and the surgery you kindly consider doing the following:
- Have at least two GPs that you are happy to see (rather than just one), one of whom works on a full-time basis (our full time GPs are Dr Snape and Dr Soeng).
- Be patient and understanding with our reception staff when trying to secure an appointment. Whilst they may not be able to offer you an appointment with your first GP of choice, you will never be refused an appointment if you have a medical condition which must be urgently addressed.
- Please do NOT book to see your preferred GP for a non-urgent issue when they are running an emergency clinic. Emergency clinics are for urgent medical issues only.
We assure you that the surgery works tirelessly to offer the best service and care we can to all our patients. We are constantly striving to improve our systems to ensure that we accommodate everyone’s needs, and the appointment systems remain a focal point of discussions at our Patient Participation Group, who are representative of every category of patient we have.
Whilst it is difficult to cater to the needs of each and every one of our 10,450 patients, we do try our best.
Thank you for your understanding.
